The home was designed and built in 1980. The home is very contemporary with sharp lines and minimalist details, i.e. no wall base at the floor, no trim molding at windows and doors.

The warmth of the cedar ceilings provide a balance of the design elements creating this home is at 7500 feet elevation; therefore, the summer season is shorter and winter is longer.

Regarding the energy items in the home include: entry vestibule, south facing Trombe walls , 2 sets of 2 active solar panels for the hot tub on the upper level and for the preheat 50 gallon water tank before going into the hot water tank.

All rooms on the north side of the house have storage and closets approximately 2 feet deep, which gives the home an easy way to deflect the cold winters.

The home was featured in the Rocky Mountain Sunday Magazine.
