FOOTHILLS ANIMAL SHELTER – GOLDEN, CO

Foothills Animal Shelter is the new replacement for the 20 plus year old shelter that was used well. With the financial help of Cities in Jefferson County, this modern and durable 30,000 square foot facility houses areas for adoption, a spay and neuter clinic, kennels for lost or court obtained animals, and working with the highway patrol regarding wildlife on the highways. The majority of the wall construction is epoxy finished concrete blocks with outside radius corners to prevent cutting of leashes. Thoughtful design of the kennels work well for easy and less stressful maintenance.

A large common room is available for clubs, such as the Boy Scouts, to educate the community about the care of pets.
